 Wow - what a season it's been this year for Garforth Tigers under 14's!
Some of these young men have been with the club since they were just seven years old and its fantastic to see how much they have grown both physically and mentally into the fantastic team we see today. Regretfully we've lost some good players to other teams but on the flip side, we've had a record signing of seven new players which have all been welcomed in the true spirit of team sportsmanship and Rugby League. We have watched some outstanding individual performances which has led to a number of lads being scouted for various clubs - leading on to one lad earning a scholarship at Castleford Tigers. But more importantly it's been a united team which has earned us the triumph of winning the league with an impressive attack. 400 points scored but even more admirable 100 against us - demonstrating an outstanding defence. We have sadly endured some difficult times both on and off the pitch this season, however the maturity and resilience of the lads is of a credit to the fantastic coaching staff, match day team and the unconditional support of their parents. Can't wait for next season - roll on 2018! From Coaches Chris, Lee, Helen and everyone else in the under 14s support team
